Que es Moombahton?

Dave Nada just seems to be busy busting out everything from this Nadastrom releases to his new creation of the newly conceived Moombahton sound. Fader online describes it as "essentially Dutch house screwed down to sound like reggaeton’s weird little cousin". From what I can tell you this sound is incredibly infectious, taking elements from house, reggeaton, reggae and latin influences of cumbia and bachata for a tropical blend fusion. The article is a really good read and goes to explain how Nada first stumbled on the idea, plus explains how his recent visit to Vancouver during the Olympics was a great success when he dropped some Moombahton heat on unsuspecting fans.

Is Moombahton the next big thing? Well people are feeling it in its homeland of Puerto Rico. I can already tell you that its going to pick up a lot of momentum as the twitter and online buzz has just begun.
