Metalheadz recordings master in chief, Goldie posted a few serious gems on his Sound Cloud page. Mixes from Loxy, Doc Scott, Randall, Bailey and the man himself Goldie from way-the-fuck-back! Mixes date back as far as 1996 - absolute nostalgia right here. Reminds me of being in the packed, grimey jungle rooms with poor lighting, local deejays busting out these exact jams, and loyal jungle ravers there to embrace every single menacing drum beat. Metalheadz was always known for its dark, sinister sounds and all these mixes will remind you why this camp was such a huge influence on not only drum & bass but other UK urban music that followed. Selected below is Doc Scott's mix from 1998 with MC Justyce on the mic. These were times when "tech-step" and "jump-up" were terms tossed around to describe what people's ears where listening to in the wide spectrum of drum & bass. Peep the Metalheadz SC page for the rest of the mixes.
