Massive Attack was my introduction to trip-hop, UK bass music. Everything coming out of the UK at the time had me captivated for years as I couldn't turn away from it, as it became an obsession having to go out of my way to listen to get my hands on cd's, vinyl even cassette tape dj mixes. Something that local, commercial radio wasn't doing at the time, you know what it still doesn't! But I digress. I, like most of us have to go out of our ways to listen to great music, and I thank Bassnectar for consistently bringing solid sounds to our ears. A remix of "Risingson" off the classic Mezzanine album, Nectar claims that this remix laid unfinished for almost ten years- its a good thing he got around to finishing it.
