DARK SKY MIX ON RINSE FM

Dark Sky at the moment are leading the crunk-tribal-wave sound. Why would I call it that? Don't ask I just mash together words I hear people call them, so really not trying to make any statements, let the music define itself. The post-dubstep sound falls so far away from formulaic, generic beats, each tune delivering something different without the predictability you hear in current dubstep sounds. Mixes like these may be met with a bit of apprehension from the uneducated ear, but I'm here to post music that challenges your current tastes so enjoy.

Dark Sky (Tom Edwards, Matt Benyayer and Carlo Anderson) of London, England have a unique future forward style that's heavy but musically not disposable as a majority of dance music seems to be. Ripping people faces off with heavy massive synths is not their style, rather dark vibey tunes that carry longevity long after the music has stopped is what's expected. Sometimes hip-hop, sometimes dubstepish and sometimes house, this mix has a broad appeal. Make sure to check out their Fact Mag mix as well. Do it now.

Opening track in the mix is Kelis Brave remixed by Dark Sky, out now.
