That Juke shit isn't just for Chicago anymore, still being an underground sound the mainstream really only wants to mess with the guys on Planet Mu and the OG's from Chigaco, but that's okay. Today I introduce you to Dabblr which are two cousins from Pheonix, and they represent the Juke/Footwork/Bass thing and they're doing it well.
"Our names are Jorian and Colin Merrill and we are 24 year old cousins based out of Phoenix Arizona. We caught the Juke fever by hearing DJ Rashad and Spinn, as well as the ever-famous "Footcrab" by Addison Groove. (We paid homage in this mix). Juke is very unknown out on the west-coast, so we're fighting a juke crusade out here. One of our biggest inspirations is Washington-based Cedaa, so we're not the ONLY people making Chicago music outside of Chi-town. We chose to deviate from the ever-present obsession with "Dubstep" because we love the indy and underground feel of this fast-paced music, as well as the passion that is behind the genre. We are striving to put our own west-coast flavor on every track that we get our grubby hands on..."Jorian and Colin were nice enough to put this exclusive mix together for FuturoBeat. Thank you and enjoy! Make sure to check out their SoundCloud for a nice selection of remixes.
